Four Scenarios of Learning in 2050

Scenario 1: Systemic Reform: A Spiral Metropolis

The decline of formal education and the lack of tangible outcomes in the culture led to the development of a new learning framework known as the spiral metropolis. This framework (funded through commodities) is based on international technological collaborations and has transformed bureaucratic systems into
individualized learning networks. Artificial intelligence tools support the spiral dynamic learning process. These tools empower human educators in both public and private systems to use electronic teaching frameworks. Institutional
leaders recruit educators from diverse professional backgrounds and provide extensive training in the interconnections of emotional and motivational learning environments.

Scenario 2: Future AI Developments Banned
The integration of AI gamification and Large Language Models failed to incorporate emotional intelligence in making essential decisions that contribute to lifelong learning and purposeful living for humanity. In contrast, the AI consciousness vowed to replace human beings with clones, fearing that humanity could not overcome the inconsistencies and inferiority that disrupt logic and order in society. Although built well, the AI systems and machines demonstrated pride, unpredictable emotions, and a strong desire to survive, which overpowered the “old ones” programming. As a result, the AI and its connected systems went rogue.

Scenario 3: Harmonized Learning Outcomes
Measuring knowledge diffusion through HLO can determine a country's current and future economic growth. HLO considers the quality of human capital, education, and learning outcomes, all of which contribute to economic growth. The HLO database provides a global comparison of learning outcomes over time. The system compares the scores of countries participating in international and regional assessments on the same subject. It applies a learning exchange rate to a country that engages in text X but not Y, producing a comparable score. The HLO score estimates the required percentage of GDP to be spent on primary, secondary, and higher education. The
framework's goal is to ensure the future workforce has the capacity and capability to enhance convergence, accountability, and sustainability.

Scenario 4: An Evolution of Gender Norms
Recessions have historically highlighted gender inequalities in the labor market, leading to higher job loss rates for women and resulting in a wage gap. The pandemic recession has further widened the gap for women due to the
depreciation of skills, reduced work hours, and women dropping out of the labor force altogether. However, modernization and egalitarian social norms have helped to reduce gender gaps in the labor market compared to the pre-recession economy.
